I was searching for a way to engage my diaphragm for talking purposes and stumbled upon this. I always thought I understood the diaphragm until I would always develop bad habits after a couple of weeks. This way of "activating it" helps me to combine the art of belly breathing (which is really belly, ribs, and back breathing) with this method so I don't get lost or out of rhythm. Maybe you could expand on this type of stuff.

This is a great technique. I had to use it once a year ago, and now I'm using it again after doing something completely different (yet seemingly just as bad!). To those watching: be smart with your voice! But, if you find yourself in a bind, do exactly what he says.

Fry screaming does not come from vocal fry. The term fry screaming is a misnomer started by Melissa Cross. Instead transition to a "fry" using the throat singing technique Khoomei. For false cord screams, learn Kargyraa.
